2024 was an exciting and busy year for the Love 30 Campaign. Following several years of campaigning and engagement with politicians and public bodies at national and local level we were delighted when the Road Safety Act 2024 was enacted mandating a 30 km/h speed limit in built-up areas, as well as lowering the limits on local and national roads to 60 km/h and 80km/h respectively.

During the latter half of the year the Love 30 group engaged extensively with local authorities throughout the country on the issue of exceptions to the default 60km/h on local roads, which became effective in February 2025.
